Contains records of departments in your organization to which you can allocate assets. For example, your organization may have Sales, Logistics and Finance departments and you may want to track where assets are in your organization. Departments, asset groups and asset sub groups determine the appropriate general ledger account, sub account or dimension to use in the general ledger.
