Allocation Settings
Some aspects of FinancialForce Accounting are controlled by custom settings. From Setup, click Develop | Custom Settings. You must be signed in with System Administrator permissions to perform these tasks. See the Salesforce Help for information on how to maintain custom settings.
The following fields in the Accounting Settings (FF) custom setting are used by allocations.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Batch size - allocation journal |
The number of lines that can be allocated in one batch when generating journals. The default is 2000. |
Batch size - allocation transaction | The number of lines that can be allocated in one batch when generating transactions. The default is 2000. |
The allocation process also uses the following line limits in the Document Line Volume Settings custom setting to determine when to switch to running in batch mode:
- Manual Journal Line Limit (if generating journals), or
- Allocation Transaction Batch Lines Limit (if generating transactions)
If the allocation process is running as a scheduled job and these limits are reached, an error will be reported. You should run the allocation manually to avoid this issue.
