Creating an Account Extension

To create an account extension:

1. Navigate to the Account Extension tab.
2. Click New.
3. Select the account that this account extension is related to.
4. [Optional] Enter the reason, if any, that the account has a sales tax exemption.
5. Click Save.

Tip:

If your organization uses Avalara AvaTax to calculate SUTSales and Use Tax on billing documents, the tax exemption reason is sent to Avalara automatically when you calculate tax.
