Setting up the Manage Skills and Certifications Lightning Component

The PSA Manage Skills and Certifications Lightning component is available on the Services Delivery workspace by default. You can also place the component on the following pages:

You cannot add the component to a Lightning record page.

Permissions

You must grant users the permissions detailed in this section to enable them to use the PSA Manage Skills and Certifications Lightning component.

Permission Controls

The functionality in the PSA Manage Skills and Certifications Lightning component enables users to view and manage their own skills, certifications, and experience. If a user needs to view or manage skills, certifications, and experience for someone else, you must set up a permission control for the user with the following selected, as required:

You must grant users read and write permissions on all mandatory fields. Users cannot edit non-mandatory fields that they do not have read or write permissions for. For more information on the fields, see Skill / Certification Rating Fields and Experience Fields.

Disabling the Experience Feature

If you do not want PSA to display the experience a resource has in using a skill in the Manage Skills and Certifications Lightning component, you can disable the Experience feature by deselecting Enable Experience in the Skills Management custom setting.
