Designating Non-Working Time

Note:

To use this feature, your administrator must add the Work Calendar field on your Project page layout, and the Allow Start/End on Non-working Days checkbox on the Work Calendar page layout. For more information, see Project Fields and Work Calendar Fields.

For Project Task Gantt and Gantt, you can enable project tasks to be scheduled on non-working days, even if the work calendar has zero hours days. To enable this, select Allow Start/End on Non-working Days on the Work Calendar page.

If no work calendar is associated with a project, these defaults apply:

Project Task Gantt uses a default work calendar, which defines weekends as non-working days.
Gantt uses the default 24/7 calendar, which does not define any day as non-working.

For Project Task Gantt and Gantt, you can designate non-working time for assignments.
