Scheduling Utilization

You can schedule utilization runs from a utilization setup record.

Permissions

To schedule a utilization run, you must have been granted the Salesforce permission to schedule an Apex job and permission to start a utilization run.

Scheduling a Utilization Run

To schedule a utilization run:

  1. Navigate to the active utilization setup record.
  2. Click Schedule Utilization Run.
  3. Choose the frequency at which you want to schedule the utilization run. The options are:
  4. Enter your preferred start time for the scheduled job.

    Note: The job will use the time zone of the user who schedules it.

  5. Click Create Scheduled Job. This overwrites any existing utilization run scheduled jobs.

To view or delete the UtilizationAnalyticsScheduler job, from Setup, enter Jobs in the Quick Find field, and then select Scheduled Jobs.

Tip:

In some circumstances, a utilization run batch job can fail to complete successfully and not report the error. This might happen if, for example, you abort a utilization run batch job that is in progress. If this happens and you want to run the job again, you must first check that the process has definitely failed. If it has, delete the process lock record before running the job again.
