Configuring PSA Analytics

Salesforce automatically generates the integration user when Analytics is enabled in your org. This user needs the relevant access permissions to link your Salesforce data with Analytics.

Creating Your Analytics App with the Admin User

All users who intend to create apps using the configuration wizard require:

If you want to add user-generated fields from your data environment to a dataset, you must ensure that the Integration User has read access to these fields by assigning them an appropriate permission set before running the configuration wizard.

Viewing All PSA Analytics Dashboards with the View User

Users who only require view access to the information related to PSA Analytics need a Business Analytics license and the Analytics Platform User permission set assigned. With this permission, they can view the information in apps shared with them by the System Administrator.

Viewing Embedded Dashboards Only with the Embedded Dashboards User

Users who only require view access to the embeddable dashboards contained in the app need a Business Analytics license, and the Analytics View Only User permission set and the Analytics View Only Embedded App permission set License Assignment assigned. With these permissions, they can view the information in apps shared with them by the System Administrator.

Permission Sets Required for the Resource Skills Dataset

To create this dataset, you must create a read access permission set for the following objects in your PSA data environment. Assign this permission set to the Integration User before running your PSA Analytics dataflow.
