Allocation Scheduler Fields
Here is a description of the interface elements on the Allocation Scheduler list view and Create Schedule pages.
List View
Here you can amend, delete or create a new schedule.

Here is a list of available allocation schedules:

Deletes the selected allocation schedule. | |
ID | A system-generated ID. |
Schedule Name | The name of the allocation schedule. Click this or the ID to edit the schedule. |
Schedule Description | A description of the allocation schedule. |
Created By | The user who created the allocation schedule. |
Created Date | The date when the allocation schedule was created. |
Last Run | The date and time when the schedule was last run. |
Next Run | The date and time the allocation schedule is due to run next. |
Active | Indicates whether the allocation schedule is active. A schedule only runs if it is active. |
Company | The company this schedule belongs to. |
Logs | Contains a link to the related allocation schedule log file. To view the transactions created by a scheduled job, click the View Logs link, then the Allocation Schedule Log Name link, then the Allocation Schedule Run link. This displays the Allocation Schedule Run Detail page where you can view a list of the transactions created; click a transaction link to view that transaction record. |
Create Schedule
Here you can create a new schedule.
Key: * – Mandatory field

Schedule Name * | The name of the allocation schedule. |
Schedule Description | A description of the allocation schedule. |
Active | Indicates the allocation schedule is active. A schedule only runs if it is active. |
Buttons

Schedule List | Returns to the list view of existing allocation schedules. |
Run Now | Runs the chain of allocation templates immediately. |
Save Schedule | Saves the current allocation schedule. |
Schedule Summary
Displays the results of your selections while creating an allocation schedule. This information is dynamic and updates as you make choices. Any dates and times are shown using the time zone specified on your user record in the org. See Creating an Allocation Schedule for more details.
Select Templates
Here you can select and arrange the templates you want to include in the schedule.

Element | Description |

Add an Allocation Template * | Opens a list of valid allocation templates. You must select at least one. Incomplete templates will not appear in this list. A complete template must have at least one filter line (based on either a GLA or a dimension) and its split percentages must add up to 100%. If these criteria are met the template will be available for scheduling. |
Sequence | The sequence number of the templates. This is the order in which the schedule processes the templates. You can amend the sequence at any time. See About the Allocation Scheduler for important information about why this sequence is important. |
Sort | Move the template up or down in the sequence. |
Template | The name of the selected allocation template. |
Remove the selected template from the schedule. |
Set Schedule Frequency
Here you set when the schedule runs and how often. You cannot save or run the schedule without this information.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Hourly | Enter the repeat interval you want the schedule to use. For example if you select 3 hours, the schedule runs every 3 hours. If you want it to start on the hour, select an offset of 00 minutes. If you want to start 15 minutes after the hour, select an offset of 15 minutes, and so on. |
Daily | Enter the time you want the schedule to run each day. |
Weekly | Enter the days and time you want the schedule to run each week. |
Monthly | Enter the day and time you want the schedule to run every month. For example, you can choose the fifth day of the month, the last day of the month, or the fourth Friday of the month. |
Specific Date | Enter a single date and time you want the schedule to run. This does not repeat. |
Schedule Ends | Enter when you want the schedule to end. The default is No End. The Active checkbox on this schedule is cleared automatically at the end of the schedule. |
Retrieve Transactions
Here you select transactions you want the schedule to retrieve.
Field | Description |

Date Range Type | Select one of "Static", "Dynamic" or "Advanced". |
Select Transactions From | The date of the first transaction. If you do not select a From value, the date of the first available transaction in the organization is used. You must select a To value. |
Select Transactions To | The date of the last transaction. |
The date range types are described here:
Type | Description |
---|---|
Static | Select the range of dates to retrieve transactions. For example, from January 15 to January 31. These dates do not change. |
Dynamic | Select the range of periods or months to retrieve transactions. The actual periods or months are calculated as follows: Current Period: Selects transactions from the current period only (from the start of the period in which the schedule runs to the run date). Last Period: Selects transactions from the previous period (the period before the schedule runs). It will not select transactions from the current period. Last 3 Periods: Selects transactions from the three periods before the period in which the schedule runs. It will not select transactions from the current period. The special periods 000, 100 and 101 are not included in these options. Current Month: Selects transactions from the current month only (from the start of the month in which the schedule runs to the run date). Last Month: Selects transactions from the previous month (the period before the schedule runs). It will not select transactions from the current month. Last 3 Months: Selects transactions from the three months before the month in which the schedule runs. It will not select transactions from the current month. |
Advanced | First select one of the following to define the From value: - From the date of first available transaction in your organization. - From a number of days before the selected To date. - From the end of the previous date range. If there is no previous date, you will be asked to enter one. Then, define the To date by entering a number of days before or after the scheduled run date. |
Set Details
Here you set the details for the allocation transactions that will be created.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Posting Date | The date of the allocation transaction. This can be a specific date or as a number of days offset from the run date. |
Allocation Period | The period of the allocation transaction. You can derive this from the transaction date or from the run date. You can also set it at a number of periods offset from the transaction date. |
Schedule Description | An optional description to record on the allocation transaction. |
