Creating Bank Connections

Bank connections store the details of each bank account you have connected to using Plaid LinkClosed Provides a secure authentication flow for each institution that Plaid supports. Link makes it secure and easy for you to connect your bank accounts to Plaid as it guides you through credential validation and multi-factor authentication (MFA)..

You must manually link each bank connection to a bank account in FinancialForce Accounting.

To create a new connection to a bank or other financial institution:

  1. Log in as the dedicated Plaid Integration user.
  2. Click the Bank Connections tab and click Connect Bank.
  3. On the Plaid Consent window, click Continue after reading the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
  4. Select the bank or financial institution to which you want to connect and enter the login credentials for that bank.
  5. When Plaid confirms your account has connected successfully, click Finish.

At the end of this process the Bank Connections page is displayed. This lists all the connected bank accounts. You must now link each bank account connection to an existing bank account in FinancialForce Accounting.

Notes:

An error message displays if the bank connection fails. Details of all attempted bank connections are stored in the bank connection logs.

If you open a new account with a bank or financial institution for which connections already exist, you must repeat the steps above to create a bank account connection for the new bank account.

You cannot create a bank account connection manually. You must use the Connect Bank button.
