Updating Page Layouts For Posting Effective Dates Feature

You can restrict Dimension 1-4 and GLAs from being assigned to various documents depending on the dates mentioned in their Posting Effective Dates section. This feature ensures that documents only use valid dimensions or general ledger accounts.

To enable the Posting Effective Dates feature:

  1. Click the Feature Console tab.
  2. In the Features list, click Posting Effective Dates.
  3. For each automatic feature step, click Perform. When the step has completed, the Status changes from "NOT DONE" to "DONE".
  4. For each manual step, follow the instructions on the page and when the step is complete, click Mark As Done.
  5. When all the feature steps have been completed, turn the slider from (off) to (on).
Note:

Custom layouts must be updated manually.

Manually Assign Permissions

Ensure necessary users have the following permission sets assigned as required:

  • Accounting and Billing - Dimension1
  • Accounting and Billing - Dimension2
  • Accounting and Billing - Dimension3
  • Accounting and Billing - Dimension4
  • Accounting and Billing - General Ledger Accounts

Manually Update Page Layouts

If you have custom layouts, they must be updated manually.
