What is a Payment Details Template

A payment details template enables you to set default values for payment proposals. You can create as many payment details templates as you need.

You do not have to enter values for all the fields on the template. For example, if you always use the same general ledger accounts but the bank account varies, you can create a payment details template containing only the general ledger account information.

Corporate GLAs or local GLAs are used depending on the company's settings and the individual user's settings for the alternate account (Corporate GLA or Local GLA). For more information, see What is a Chart of Accounts Structure?.

For information on the fields available see Payment Details Template Fields.

You can specify a default template for each company that you make payments from. You can only have one default template for each company.

Tip:

If you always use the same bank account and general ledger accounts when making payments, include these in a payment details template and set it to be the default.
