Using the Engagement Summary Dashboard
You can access the Engagement Summary dashboard from the Summary tab of an engagement record.
This dashboard enables you to:
- Identify the amount and percentage of revenue generated per revenue stream.
- Identify the amount of revenue generated, the amount of revenue recognized, the amount invoiced to date, the cost incurred, the cost amortized, and the profit margin achieved per revenue stream.
- View additional information for each engagement source.

Currency Drop-Down Selector
If your org is configured to support multiple currencies, you can use the Currency drop-down selector to change the currency that the values are displayed in. You can select any of the active Salesforce currencies in your org.
By default, the values in the dashboard are displayed in the currency of the engagement record. If the dashboard contains data for multiple engagements, the values are displayed in the corporate currency by default.
Recognized and Amortized Values
The amount of revenue recognized and the amount of cost amortized are displayed in the dashboard only if you use FinancialForce Revenue Management and at least one of the following datasets contains at least one of the relevant fields:
- Billing Contracts:
- Contract Line Item Revenue Recognized
- Project Reporting:
- Project Cost Amortized
- Project Revenue Recognized
- Project Total Cost Amortized
- Project Total Revenue Recognized
- Supply Chain Management Core:
- Sales Order Line Item Cost Amortized
- Sales Order Line Item Revenue Recognized
Otherwise, the values are not displayed in any of the charts within the dashboard. For more information about when the Revenue Management fields are available in each dataset, see the related field reference topic.
Total Revenue Donut Chart
The Total Revenue donut chart enables you to view the portion that each revenue stream contributes towards the engagement's total revenue amount.
You can hover over a slice to view the percentage that a particular revenue stream contributes towards the total revenue amount.
You can also click a slice of the chart to highlight a revenue stream. The remaining charts on the dashboard refresh automatically to display only the data for the selected revenue stream.
By Measure Stacked Bar Chart
If it is not already displayed, you can access the stacked bar chart by clicking By Measure. The chart enables you to view the cumulative revenue, invoiced, cost, margin, revenue recognized, and cost amortized amounts across all revenue streams.
Each revenue stream displays in a different color, enabling you to view the portion that it contributes towards the total amount for a specific measure. You can hover over a part of each bar to view the percentage that a particular revenue stream contributes towards the total amount for the selected measure.
By Revenue Stream Column Chart
You can access the column chart by clicking By Revenue Stream. The chart groups measures by revenue stream. For example, if you use Billing Central, PSA, and SCM with Engagement Analytics, the dashboard displays three groups: Order Management, Services, and Subscriptions. Each group enables you to view the revenue, invoiced, cost, margin, revenue recognized, and cost amortized amounts for a given revenue stream.
Source Details Table Chart
The Source Details table provides more information about each engagement source. Depending on how your Engagement Analytics app is set up, an engagement source might be a billing contract line item, a project, or a sales order line item.
The table is grouped by revenue stream, source number, source name, product name, start date, and end date. For each source, you can view the revenue, invoiced, cost, margin, revenue recognized, and cost amortized amounts.
You can click the number of a source to open its record page. For services, this opens the project record. For subscriptions, this opens the billing contract record. For order management, this opens the sales order record.
