New Features and Enhancements in Fixed Asset Management Summer 2022

The following new features have been introduced in the Summer 2022 release of Fixed Asset Management.

Dependencies on other FinancialForce packages

FinancialForce Fixed Asset Management Summer 2022 requires that the FinancialForce Foundations Summer 2022 package is installed first:

FinancialForce Foundations is a package that contains some common components used by other FinancialForce applications in your org and functionality that enables your FinancialForce applications to integrate with each other and with third-party applications.

Fixed Asset Management Functional Permissions

We have redesigned Fixed Asset Management permissions and the FinancialForce security model. This provides a robust and focused approach to manage user security.

From Summer 2022, the new functional permissions provide secure defaults using the latest Salesforce features. This makes it easier for you to:

  • Customize your users’ permissions.
  • Go live more quickly.
  • Gain better control over data security.

Functional Permissions use Salesforce permission set groups (PSGs). For more information on permission set groups, see the Salesforce Help.
