Reporting Prompt Fields

Here is a description of the fields that make up a reporting promptClosed Information that the user provides at run time.. Some of these fields may not be visible or editable at all times, or in all package combinations.

Reporting Prompt Fields
Field     Description
Reporting Prompt Name * 80 Name of this reporting prompt, such as Company or Current Period.

Key: * – Mandatory field; x – Not used for prompts of type "Company"
The number indicates the number of characters that are allowed in this text field, where appropriate.

Reporting Prompt Fields
Field     Description
Default Value x 255 Value used by default. Must be valid for the selected prompt type.
Picklist Values x 255 List of picklist values. Items are separated by a line break.
Prompt Key *   Unique key RP01 to RP99. Populated automatically.
Reporting Definition *   Master-Detail link to the related reporting definition.
Required x   Indicates that a user response is mandatory.
Sort Order x   Controls, in ascending numerical order, the sequence in which this prompt is presented to the user. Enter 1 for the first reporting prompt, 2 for the second and so on. Numbers must be unique for this reporting definition.
Type     Picklist of reporting prompt types: Text, Number, Date, Company, Picklist or Accounting Period.
