New Features and Enhancements in Reporting Spring 2020

The following new features have been introduced in the Spring 2020 release of Reporting.

Salesforce Update

If you are using any SCM plugins, or custom Apex classes as part of you org settings, you must have a visible constructor initialized. This follows the Salesforce update applied on August 18, 2020. Ensure your custom Apex classes comply with this requirement to avoid any errors when executing them:

  • All Apex classes must have a visible constructor to be initialized
  • Public (Managed Classes)
  • Global (Unmanaged Classes)

For more information, see Restrict Reflective Access to Non-Global Constructors in Packages (Critical Update) in the Salesforce Spring '20 Release Notes.

FinancialForce ERP Is Now FinancialForce Foundations

FinancialForce ERP Core was initially designed to facilitate messaging and other developer-facing tasks. As the FinancialForce suite has grown, we continued to add features and functionality to ERP to support our users. FinancialForce apps use many of the common tools and components that ERP provides.

A lot of new functionality in ERP is designed specifically for use by system administrators. Our new name represents our commitment to providing you with a solid foundation across your FinancialForce apps.
