What is a Performance Obligation Template?

If you use multiple-element arrangements, when creating templates for your source objects you can specify the template to assign to performance obligations created from your source records. The template you define in the Performance Obligation Template field is assigned automatically when you create or update a revenue contract:

• Using the Revenue Management API. For more information, see "RevenueContractService" in the Revenue Management API Developer Reference documentation.
• For an engagement record.

If you create performance obligations manually, you must manually populate the Template field on the performance obligations.
