Migrating from the SCM Avalara Connector to Core
Starting with Winter 2023, most of the functionality available in the SCM Avalara Connector extension package is also available in SCM Core.
The following features are currently not available in SCM Core:
- Defining a list of nexus regions. Instead, you can define more sophisticated eligibility criteria. For more information, see Additional Eligibility Criteria for Tax Calculation Settings.
- Automatically marking tax as "Committed" for invoices and AP vouchers when tax is committed for the related sales or payable invoices in FinancialForce Accounting. If you use the SCM Accounting Connector, you must manually set the External Tax Status field to "Committed" for invoices, credit invoices, AP vouchers, and AP voucher credits.
Perform the following tasks to migrate from the SCM Avalara Connector package to using the features available in SCM Core.
