Setting up the Extended User Interfaces

In addition to the base managed package for the Accounting application, Certinia supplies an extension package that gives you an alternative user interface when creating, editing and viewing cash entries.

  • Cash Entry Extension (ffcash)

The default interface is called Classic EditionClosed The view of the application that you see when you first install the base managed package.. The alternative interface is called Extended EditionClosed The view of the application that you see when you install one of the extension packages (such as the Cash Entry Extension package). For invoices, credit notes, and journals Extended Edition is integrated into the main package, but must be configured..

Note:

The functionality that was previously delivered in the Billing, Account Payable, and Journal Extensions is now integrated into the main Accounting application. For details of how to set these alternative interfaces up, see Setting up Extended Edition for Sales Invoices and Sales Credit Notes, Setting up Extended Edition for Payable Invoices and Payable Credit Notes and Setting up Extended Edition for Journals.

The Extended Edition interface makes extensive use of faster data entry grids like the one shown here for managing cash entry line items:
