Overriding Avalara Tax Values

You can override the standard Avalara tax codes with your own tax codes so that you can report your tax correctly.

The Override Avalara Tax Code field is available on the following objects:

• Customer Quotation Line
• Purchase Order Line
• Sales Order Line
• Invoice Line
• AP Voucher line

For each of the objects you want to override the Avalara tax on you must:

• Add the new tax codes you want to use as overrides in the Avalara application.
• Add the Override Avalara Tax Code field to the page layouts.

Note:

If the Override Avalara Tax Code field is populated at line level:

• That tax code will be used by Avalara to calculate the tax for the line.
• The original Tax Description 1 field remains unchanged.
• The Tax Rate and Tax Rate 1 fields will display the override tax code value.
• The Tax Code field will display the Override Avalara tax code value.
