The Bill of Material (BOM Bill of Material. The items that make up a product. For example, if the product is a table, this might include the table top, four legs and a bag of screws.) is the item or items that make up the product. For instance, if the product is a 1400cc petrol engine, this might include the engine block, alternator, belts etc. A bill of material may contain one or more bills of material depending on the product. For instance, the engine block in the 1400cc petrol engine may have a bill of material including things like cylinder head, pistons, and valves and so on.
