Message Log Fields

Here is a description of the options available on the Message Logs tab.

Logging Level

Note:

Some messages do not respect logging level and are always logged, regardless of this setting.

Retain	Message
All	All messages are retained. You can choose the minimum retention time.
None	No messages are retained.
Errors	Only messages with an error status are retained. You can choose the minimum retention time. This is the default setting.

Minimum Retention Time

Time	Description
None	The message will be deleted the next time a scheduled deletion job is run or the Run Now option is used.
Months	The message will be retained for the number of months specified, after which it will be deleted the next time a scheduled deletion job is run or the Run Now option is used. The minimum retention time in months is one month.
Forever	The message will be retained forever and will never be deleted.
Inherit	The message will be retained for as long as the retention time of its parent message, after which it will be deleted the next time a scheduled deletion job is run or the Run Now option is used.

Buttons

Button	Description
Refresh	Reloads the page. You can click Refresh if you want to discard your unsaved changes.
Save	Saves your changes.
