Creating a Jira Issue from a PSA Project

If you use the Integration Hub Connector: Jira - PSA and the Sync Projects from PSA to Issues in Jira feature or workflow is enabled in your org, you can create Jira issues from PSA projects.

To create a Jira issue from a PSA project:

  1. Navigate to the Projects tab.
  2. Open the project that you want to create a Jira issue from.
  3. In the Jira Project field, select the Jira key of the project that you want to create the issue in. If your project is not listed, contact your administrator.
  4. Select Sync with Jira.
  5. Save your changes.

The connector automatically creates a Jira issue of a predefined type for the PSA project. Once the synchronization finishes, the Jira Correlation ID field is populated with the ID of the issue in Jira. For more information, see Synchronizing PSA Projects to Jira Issues.

  6. [Optional] Click View Project in Jira from the Jira Project URL field to open the related project in Jira.

If an error occurs during the synchronization, the connector sends you an email notification and creates a Foundations error message. For more information, ee Viewing Integration Hub Connector: Jira - PSA Error Messages.
