Manually Linking an Existing PSA Resource to a Jira User

If you use the Integration Hub Connector: Jira - PSA, you can manually link existing PSA resources with existing Jira users. This can be useful if:

  • Your PSA resources and Jira users were set up before you started using the connector.
  • One department in your company manages PSA resources and a different department manages Jira users.
  • You do not want to automatically create Jira users from PSA resources.
Warning:

You can only link a single PSA resource to a single Jira user and the email address of the resource must be unique. You must not enter the same Jira Correlation ID for multiple PSA resources.

To manually link a PSA resource to a Jira user:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts tab.
  2. Open the resource that you want to link to a Jira user.
  3. Depending on the version of Jira that you use, enter one of the following in the Jira Correlation ID field:
    • If you use Jira Server, enter the username of the Jira user. For example, jsmith@email.com. For more information on how to find the username of a Jira user, see the Jira Knowledge Base.
    • If you use Jira Cloud, enter the account ID of the Jira user. For example, 5cf90b5dd7c9780f43c4699c. For more information on how to find the account ID of a Jira user, see the Atlassian Community.
  4. Save your changes. The PSA resource is now linked to the Jira user.
  5. [Optional] If you use Jira server and you want to automatically sync any future changes made to the resource with Jira, select Sync with Jira.
