Previewing a Resource Request as an Assignment

You can preview resource requests as assignments in Resource Planner against selected resources.

Note:

The Availability column displays a resource's availability. Availability is derived from a resource's total current assignments, held resource request hours and the current Resource Request preview. Your administrator can control the display of the Availability column, and how availability displays in the column. For more information, see Resource Availability in Hours and Show Availability Column.

To preview a resource request as an assignment:

1. Load a resource request as described in Loading Resource Requests into the Resource Planner.
2. Select a resource you want to preview the resource request against.
3. Click Preview. An unsaved assignment is created for the resource. The previewed assignment schedule summary bar is gray with hashed styling.
