Project Fields

The Project object is included in PSA. For a description of the fields included in PSA, see Project Fields.

The following fields are available if you are using the PSA Direct for Jira.

Description

Sync with Jira   Determines if the project is eligible for syncing with Jira.
Jira Correlation ID  

Unique identifier of the project in Jira. Automatically populated after the project is synced with Jira.

Note:

You must not edit this field unless you are manually correlating the project with an existing Jira project or issue.

Jira Project *

Key of the Jira project this project will be created as an issue in.

Notes:
  • You must manually add the keys of your Jira projects to this picklist field.
  • Only applicable if you are syncing PSA projects with Jira issues.
Jira Project Key *

Unique key of the project in Jira used to prefix issues.

Note:

Only applicable if you are syncing PSA projects with Jira projects.

Jira Project Type *

Project type in Jira. The following values are available:

  • "Software" - the project is created in Jira using the Basic software development template.
  • "Business" - the project is created in Jira using the Task management template.
Notes:
  • After a project type is selected, select a Jira template.
  • After a project is created in Jira, its type cannot be changed from PSA. If you change the project type, you must do so manually in both applications.
  • Only applicable if you are syncing PSA projects with Jira projects.
Jira Project Template  

Project in Jira that is used as a template.

Notes:
  • Only applicable if you create Jira projects using the selected project as a template. If you create Jira projects without selecting the Jira Project Template field, the project is created without a template.
  • Only applicable if you are syncing PSA projects with Jira projects.
  • If you select Jira Project Template, you cannot use Jira Template.
Jira Template  

Unique template in Jira used when creating a PSA project.

Notes:
  • If you create a Jira Project without selecting the Jira Project Template field, the project will need to be created using a Jira Template.
  • Only applicable if you are syncing PSA projects with Jira projects.
  • If you select Jira Template, you cannot use Jira Project Template.
