Creating a Slack Channel for a Record

You can create a Slack channel for any record in your Salesforce org.

To do this, complete the following steps:

1. Open the appropriate record.
2. Select the Slack tab. You cannot create a new channel if it exists already.
3. If needed, enter a channel name. By default, a suggested channel name is provided using the record name.
4. Click Create. The channel is created.

Note:

Channel names must not exceed the maximum allowed by Slack, must be unique and must contain only lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores.
