Creating a Sales Invoice or Credit Note from a Single Billing Event
To create a sales invoice or credit note from a single eligible billing event:
- Click the Billing Events tab.
- Open the billing event that you want to create a sales invoice or credit note from.
- Click Create Sales Invoice or Credit Note. If the billing event is eligible for creating a sales invoice or credit note, a confirmation message displays. If the billing event is not eligible, a list of errors displays. If that happens, do the following:
- Click Close.
- Fix each error.
- Perform this step again.
- Click Create. Depending on how your org is set up and the number of billing event items, the sales invoice or credit note might be created immediately or in the background.
- [Optional] Open the related record to view more information. Depending on how the process is executed, do one of the following:
- If the document is created immediately, click the name of the sales invoice or credit note to open it.
- If the document is created in the background, click View Process Run to open the related process run record.
- Click the Billing Events tab.
- Open the billing event that you want to create a sales invoice or credit note from.
- Click Create Invoices/Credits. A confirmation message displays.
- Click Continue to create the sales invoice or credit note.
