In PSA, you can associate a project A collection of activities and related items to be managed over a defined time range, such as timecards, expenses, milestones and budgets. with several locations and specify the dates to which the locations apply. Depending on the configuration that your administrator has set, you can then select a location for each day in the details section of a timecard A mechanism for logging time against a project or an assignment.. You can also set a location for the whole week depending on the options that your administrator has set.
When you create a project from a template, you can copy the locations associated with your template project to the new project.
A project location is active on a timecard when both of these conditions are true:
- the project location has no Start Date or its Start Date is prior to, or is within the Timecard Start and End Dates.
- the project location has no End Date or its End Date is after, or within the Timecard Start and End Dates.
Depending on configuration, the locations listed are generated from the project location records associated with the project or the default drop-down list associated with the Project Location field on the timecard object.
