Changing Calculation Type
Here are some things to consider if you want to change your accounting policy from one year to the next:
If you change your period calculation type from 445 (or its variants) to Month End or Month accounting, then you will have to delete all future years/periods and recreate.
Note also:
- If you recognize revenue and cost using recognition templates with the "Equal Split" template type and the "445" calculation type, you must update them to a more appropriate calculation type.
- If you generate recognition schedules using recognition templates with the "Equal Split" template type and the "445" calculation type, you do not need to modify the templates because they use the Equal Split Days calculation type at run time.
