Creating Estimate Phase Types

You can create estimate phases that are available for selection on an estimate by creating an estimate phase type record.

Note:

You must be assigned the SCPQ - Administrator permission set to be able to create estimate phase types.

To create an estimate phase type:

  1. On the Estimate Phase Types tab, click New.
  2. Enter a name for the estimate phase type. This is the name of the estimate phase that will be displayed in the Estimate Builder.
  3. Select the Active checkbox.
  4. Select a color for the estimate phase type. This is displayed in the Estimate Builder when a phase is added to an estimate.
    Tip:

    We recommend using different colors for every estimate phase and contrasting colors for sequential estimate phases. This ensures that they are easily differentiable in the Estimate Builder.

  5. Click Save.

If you want to hide an estimate phase from the Estimate Builder, deselect the Active checkbox on the estimate phase type record.
