Registering HCM and PSA for ERP Publications and Subscriptions

You must register FinancialForce PSA and FinancialForce HCM with ERP whether upgrading from a previous version of ERP or installing for the first time.

Registering HCM with ERP

To register HCM on your org with ERP:

  1. Click the HCM System Maintenance tab.
  2. Scroll to the ERP Settings Management section.
  3. Click Register.

Registering PSA with ERP

To register PSA on your orgSalesforce organization with ERP:

  1. Click the PSA Administration tab.
  2. Click ERP Administration in the ERP Administration section.
  3. Click Register in the Register Publications and Subscriptions section.
  4. Click OK.

If registration is successful, the message "Register Success" appears at the top of the page.

Checking Whether an Application is Registered

To check whether HCM and PSA are registered with ERP, click the ERP Setup tab. If both applications are registered, an HCM and a PSA column is displayed within the Publications and Subscriptions tab.

Custom Fields

Ask your FinancialForce representative to ensure that the custom fields for your integration are available on your Salesforce org.

Changing Page Layouts

Add these fields to your page layouts:

Enable Publishing and Subscribing for HCM Worker Records

  1. Click the ERP Setup tab.
  2. Carry out these steps on the Publications and Subscriptions tab for each Message Type for which publishing and subscribing is not enabled:
    1. Click the cell containing "Not Enabled".
    2. Select each Publish or Subscribe checkbox that appears in the upper-right corner.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Click Save.

Loading Default Publications and Subscriptions

Load the default PSA publications and subscriptions:

  1. Click Load All in the Publications or Subscriptions section of the ERP Administration page depending on whether you are loading publications or subscriptions.
  2. Click OK.

When the publications or subscriptions are loaded, those publications or subscriptions are listed at the top of the page. To check that publications or subscriptions loaded successfully:

  1. Click the ERP Setup tab.
  2. Click the Update message type of the record for which you want to check publications or subscriptions.
  3. Click the Publication Name or Subscription Name of the publication or subscription in the Publications or Subscriptions related list.
  4. Click Right Arrow Description to expand the Description section.
