Resource and Project Planners Custom Preferences

The Custom Preferences page in Resource and Project Planners lets users change settings listed in Planners Preferences - Project and Planners Preferences - Resource custom settings. To modify custom preferences:

1. In the tool bar in Resource and Project Planners, click .
2. Choose a tab for the custom preference type:

• Assignments Tab

  The Assignments tab contains the following preference settings:

  • Decimal Precision - Controls the Display Decimal Precision Cutoff setting in the Planners Preferences - Project or Planners Preferences - Resource custom setting (based on the Planner from which you are editing custom preferences).
  • Inline editing constants - Controls the Hold total assignment hours constant setting in the Planners Preferences - Project or Planners Preferences - Resource custom setting (based on the Planner from which you are editing custom preferences).
  • Inline editing dialog - Controls the Hide Inline Edit Dialog setting in the Planners Preferences - Project or Planners Preferences - Resource custom setting (based on the Planner from which you are editing custom preferences).
• Display tab

  The Display tab contains the following preference settings:

  • Display Level - Controls the initial default Zoom Level setting in the Planners Preferences - Project or Planners Preferences - Resource custom setting (based on the Planner from which you are editing custom preferences).
• Resources tab

  The Resources tab contains the following preference settings:

  • Resource Summary Color Ranges - Controls the allocation thresholds that specify when a resource is considered correctly allocated, over-allocated, or under-allocated based on the Resource and Project Planners Settings and Preferences and Resource and Project Planners Settings and Preferences custom settings.

Note:

Note

Changes to custom preferences apply immediately when selected and do not require a refresh of Resource and Project Planners, except for Decimal Precision. The Decimal Precision custom preference setting applies to the initial load of Resource and Project Planners. Your selected behavior displays in subsequent loading of Resource and Project Planners.

To return to the Project Planner or Resource Planner, click the Go to Project Planner or Go to Resource Planner button.
