Setting up Project Tracking Against a Billing Cap

Note: You must have enabled the feature Project Tracking Against Billing Cap before setting these field level security (FLS) permissions. This adds the Project Tracking section to the Project Detail Layout page layout on the Project object.

To enable users to use the Project Tracking section on projects, you must assign the FLS permissions for each relevant profile. These users can then view and use the fields in the Project Tracking section of a project's Details tab.

  1. From Setup, select Users | User Management Settings.
  2. Enable Enhanced Profile User Interface.
  3. From Setup, select Users | Profiles.
  4. Select the relevant profile, such as Project Manager. The Profile page opens.
  5. In the Apps section, click Object Settings.
  6. Click Projects.
  7. Click Edit, and then select the following settings.

    Alert Threshold  
    Percentage Used  
    Percentage Amount  
  9. Click Save.
