What is a Selection Definition?
A selection definition stores predefined source objects/fields and optional filter conditions for use in the desktop appsCompatible applications installed on your local computer, such as FinancialForce XL and FinancialForce Print Formatter. and when sending email messages such as remittances and reminder letters to a group of accounts. Once defined, you can save the selection definition and use it whenever you need the same selection criteria. In the desktop apps, they are called "selections".
Selection definitions used to send mass email must use the appropriate master object for the type of message.
