Creating a Large Journal

Journal Loader is used to bulk-load journals with up to 50,000 lines in one session, by allowing you to copy journal header and line data from a spreadsheet and load into FinancialForce Accounting. When using the Large Document Processing functionality, Journal Loader can create journals with up to 9,980 lines per journal. Note:

You must add a Large Journal column to the journal header on your spreadsheet, and set the value to “TRUE”. This ensures that the journal is processed using the Large Document Processing functionality.

On the Journal Loader page, the Maximum Lines Per Journal limit does not apply to Large Journals.

You can view the uploaded large journals in the usual way by locating a journal on the Journals tab and clicking the journal number to display the journal detail page.
