Creating an Estimate

An estimate enables you to estimate custom services work during the sales process. You can then submit the estimate for approval before it becomes a live project.

To create an estimate:

  1. Navigate to the opportunity record you want to create an estimate for.
  2. Select the Services CPQ tab.
  3. On the Estimates related list, click New.
  4. Enter a name for the estimate
  5. Select a start date.
  6. [Optional] Select the Primary Estimate checkbox if this estimate is the primary version for this opportunity.
  7. [Optional] Select a project to use as a template by searching for a project using two or more characters anywhere in the project name. You can select from all projects or choose to select from only template projects.
    Note: Assignments cannot be copied from a template to an estimate.
  8. Click Create.
