Intercompany Settings

Some aspects of FinancialForce Accounting are controlled by custom settings. From Setup, click Develop | Custom Settings. You must be signed in with system administrator permissions to perform these tasks. See the Salesforce Help for information on how to maintain custom settings.

Key: Descriptions of checkbox settings describe the selected (true) case.

Intercompany Settings
Field Description
Inherit Journal Date from Source Journal

Indicates that you want the journal date on the source journal to be passed through to the destination journal. If this setting is clear (not set) then the destination journal will inherit the intercompany transfer transaction processing date.

Note: This field doesn't apply for canceling journals in a Destination Company since they use the date of the original journal. To modify the date of a canceling journal so its posting date matches the journal date, you must use the reversing journal process instead of the canceling journal process.
For more information, see Canceling and Reversing Intercompany Journals.
Intercompany Line in Destination Journal Indicates that you can add intercompany lines on a destination journal. If this setting is clear (not set) you cannot add intercompany lines to the destination journal.
