Budget Templates Fields

Here is a description of the fields (in alphabetical order) that make up a Budget Template.

Approach  

The type of approach for the budget template.

  • "Top-Down" - Suitable for budget allocation in some cases.
  • "Bottom-Up" - Use for planning.
Calculation Rules (1st step)  

Indicates special rules for generating new budget lines using basic lines and pre-configured formulas.

Calculation Rules (3rd step)

Description   Description of the budget template.
Revenue Title   The unique name used in the terminology of a particular customer. For example, "Revenue,” "Margin,” or "Profit," and so on.
Sheet Group by   By default, when the App Summary is loaded for the first time, the list of lines is grouped by one of their parameters from the drop-down list.
Title * Unique name for the budget template to distinguish one template from another. For example, "Salary Template" or "Revenue General.”
Title Rule   Title of the rule by which the Budget Line title is generated automatically.
Type  

The type that the budget template supports. The default type is Totals. The support types are:

  • Totals
  • Rate and Quantity
  • Employe and Rate
  • Headcount by Resource
Note:

The totals are suitable if the company plans only the amount of money, without goods and sales.

GL Accounts   The GL account that is associated with the budget template types.
Line Component Name   The name of the helper child component that appears on the Budget Line. Helper components are out of the box but can be written locally for individual tasks.
Yearly Budget Mode  

The yearly budget planning mode.

Note:

The yearly budget mode can be done for a year without specifying a month or quarter amount.

Income Fields

Income Fields
Field Name   Description
Allowed Income Account(Set)  

The list of allowed income accounts.

Note:

If you do not select the income account set, then no Income section appears when you create a budget and that limits you to create an income budget line.

Active   A checkbox that indicates if the budget does not contain an income part. By default, it is enabled. If you need, disable it.
Minimum   By default, the field is disabled.
Maximum   By default, the field is disabled.

Expenses Fields

Field Name   Description
Allowed Expense Account (Set)  

The list of allowed expense accounts.

Note:

If you do not select the expense account set, then no Expense section appears when you create a budget and that limits you from creating an expense budget line.

Active   A checkbox that indicates if the budget does not contain an expense part. By default, it is enabled. If you need, disable it.
Minimum   By default, the field is disabled.
Maximum   By default, the field is disabled.
