Revenue Recognition Alert Cards

Several types of alert cards are included on the Revenue Recognition page. By default they display revenue information but you can configure them to display cost information. The alert cards included by default are:

  • Alert cards showing the amount of revenue that is scheduled to be recognized in a specific period. These cards use the RM Schedule Summary Alert Card Lightning component.
  • Alert cards showing the amount of scheduled revenue that is pendingClosed A revenue schedule line has the status "Pending" if it is not yet available to be recognized. in a specific period, or in all periods up to a specific period. These cards use the RM Schedule Pending Summary Alert Card Lightning component.
  • An alert card showing the amount of unscheduled revenue for source records using % Complete recognition. For example, if a source record's total revenue is 1000 and 10% has been scheduled, 900 is unscheduled and is included in the amount shown on this card. This card uses the RM Unscheduled Summary Alert Card Lightning component. Unscheduled revenue on revenue schedules with the status "Source Unavailable" is excluded from this card.

Using the Lightning App Builder, an administrator can edit the Revenue Recognition page to add the following alert cards:

When editing the Revenue Recognition page in the Lightning App Builder, an administrator can remove any alert cards that are not relevant. They can also configure alert cards by editing the fields available in the properties pane of the Lightning App Builder. There are properties to change the period a card relates to, make a card display cost information rather than revenue information, and change a card's colors. Each card has a default color, and can be displayed in other colors if the card's value exceeds upper or lower thresholds. Offset From Current Period

Defines the period that the card relates to. Enter a positive number, a negative number, or leave blank:

  • 0 or blank = the current period
  • A negative number = a past period. For example, -1 means the previous period.
  • A positive number = a future period. For example, 1 means the next period.
Duration Covered

The options are:

  • Offset Period Only - the card displays pending revenue for the period defined in the Offset From Current Period field.
  • All Periods up to Offset - the card displays pending revenue for all periods from the earliest period with pending revenue, up to and including the period defined in the Offset From Current Period field.
Report on Cost When selected, the card reports on cost instead of revenue. By default this is deselected, meaning that the card reports on revenue.
Default Threshold Color The color used to display the card if no threshold ranges are defined, or if the card's value is within the default range.
Greater Than Threshold Value The threshold at which the card changes color if its value exceeds this number.
Greater Than Threshold Color The color used to display the card if its value exceeds the Greater Than Threshold Value.
Less Than Threshold Value The threshold at which the card changes color if its value is less than this number.
Less Than Threshold Color The color used to display the card if its value is less than the Less Than Threshold Value.
