Creating a Customer Quotation from a Change Request

If you need to send a customer a quotation for the items in a change request, you can do so by creating a customer quotation from the change request:

  1. Ensure that the change request that you want to generate a customer quotation for has the lines that you want to quote for.
  2. Click Create Customer Quotation.
  3. If you need to modify a customer quotation line:
    1. Click Modify Line on the line that you want to change.
    2. Edit the fields that you want to change.
    3. Click Save.
  4. If you want to send the quotation to the customer, click Send.
    Note:

    If you want to email the quotation to a customer, you must enter the customer contact for the account to which the customer quotation relates. The customer contact record that you select must have a valid email address.

    You cannot create a service contract from this type of customer quotation because it is already associated with the contract to which the change request relates.

  5. To update the change request from the customer quotation, click Update Change Request.
  6. To submit the service contract for approval, click Submit for Approval.
  7. If you want to bill the customer for the changes, click Bill Changes.
  8. To apply the change request to the service contract, click Apply to Service Contract.
