Creating Aged Analysis Definitions

To create a new aged analysis definition:

  1. Click New next to Recent Aged Analysis Definitions on the home page.
  2. Specify a unique name for the new aged analysis definition. This name is also used as the report title.
  3. Select an aged analysis type for the reports generated using this definition – "Debtor" or "Creditor".
  4. [Optional] Provide the aged analysis currency and general ledger account default values for the next stage of report generation. See Aged Analysis Definition Fields for more information
  5. Select a currency. You must select an accounting currencyClosed The currency in which your company does business. A company can have more than one accounting currency. owned by the current companyClosed The company in which you are working. This is represented by the company queue to which you, and new instances of objects you create, are assigned.. Alternatively, select the All Currencies checkbox to override the default currency selection.
  6. Select checkboxes to include the following optional, predefined columns:
    1. Total Outstanding
    2. Unmatched Cash
  7. Define up to 10 user-defined aging columns. See What is an Aged Analysis Definition? for an example of how to do this.
  8. When you have finished, click Save. You can also click Save & New to save the changes to the current record and then immediately begin to create another.
