Editing Billing Documents

  1. On the Billing Documents tab, click the name of the billing document you want to edit.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Make the changes you require. See Billing Document Fields for information about specific fields.
  4. Click Save.

To add billing document line items:

  • In Lightning Experience, click Add or New in the Billing Document Line Items related list of the Billing Document Detail page.
  • In Classic, click New Billing Document Line Item in the Billing Document Line Items related list of the Billing Document Detail page.
  • On the enhanced Billing Document Detail page, select the product from the Add Product drop-down list.

To edit a billing document line item:

  • In Lightning Experience, click on the document line item you want to edit, then click Edit.
  • In Classic, click Edit next to the document line item you want to edit.
  • On the enhanced Billing Document Detail page, click the value you want to edit and enter the value you want. To add or edit a description, click the description icon Information icon indicating that there is no description for the liine. This is used to edit and view the description.or Information icon used to edit and view the description., enter the description you want then click Update.

To delete a billing document line item:

  • In Lightning Experience, click on the document line item you want to delete, then click Delete.
  • In Classic, click Del next to the document line item you want to delete, then click OK.
  • On the enhanced Billing Document Detail page, click the Cross icon icon next to the product or service you want to remove.
Warning:

When using the enhanced Billing Document Detail page, if you delete all lines on the billing document after having changed the document currency, the Document Total field is not recalculated correctly on the billing document list view and on the standard Billing Document Detail page. This is a known Salesforce issue with roll-up summary fields. An administrator can force the Document Total field to recalculate. Consult the Salesforce documentation for more information.
