Setting up the Billing Management Workspace

Installing the Workspace

In this release, the Billing Management workspace is not currently part of the Billing Central core product. Contact Certinia Onboarding to have the Billing Management Workspace package installed into your org.

Complete the following setup for your users to access the Billing Management workspace :

  1. The Billing Central - Billing Management Workspace permission set provides access to the Billing Management workspace. Assign the Billing Central - Billing Management Workspace permission set to the users that require access to the workspace.
  2. The workspace links to various parts of the product and is populated by the relevant records. To view the workspace correctly with populated data, you must ensure that your users have the necessary permission sets to access the following objects:
    • Contracts
    • Contract Line Items
    • Billing Schedules
    • Billing Documents
    • Cash Entry
    • Cash Matching
  3. Manually add the Billing Management Workspace tab to any apps. By adding this tab to the relevant apps you gain maximum benefit from the Billing Management workspace, supporting your workflows, and reducing the time needed to access the information required in your role.
  4. Manually add the Billing Central - Billing Management Workspace tab permission on the profiles that require access to the workspace.
  5. To access the Cash Matching feature from the navigation pane, the user must:
    • Be assigned the correct Accounting permission set to access the Cash Matching feature.
    • Have the Cash Matching tab assigned to their profile.
      Note: A Accounting license is needed to use the cash matching and cash entry functionality linked from the workspace.
