Zooming on the Timeline
You can change the level of detail at which records display by zooming in or out of the timeline
A feature of the Resource and Project Planners. Offers a visual overview – in days, weeks, months or quarters – of assignment duration and scheduled hours, as well as total hours rolled up to the parent resource or project.. You can use zoom to:
- View scheduled and requested hours at a granular level, right up to scheduled hours per day.
- Fine tune overlapping assignments by zooming in.
- View rolled-up hours for the resource A contact that works on a project. or project A collection of activities and related items to be managed over a defined time range, such as timecards, expenses, milestones and budgets. by day, week, month or quarter.
- On the Resource Planner, view resource allocation by day, week, month or quarter.
To zoom the timeline:
- Click the down arrow on the Zoom picklist.
- Select Day, Week, Month or Quarter to view the timeline at the level you want.
Fitting the Timeline
Click Fit to snap your view of the timeline to fit all of the records.
Click Today to center the timeline on today's date, adjusting the zoom level if necessary.
