Using Chatter

Salesforce Chatter is a private social network that runs within your Salesforce environment. If you are new to Salesforce Chatter or would like to find out more about its features, read the Salesforce Chatter Overview first.

Revenue Management is Chatter enabled. You can monitor and contribute to Chatter feeds on the Forecast Revenue and Recognize Revenue pages by clicking the icon for a particular source record, then displaying the Chatter tab on the details panel that is displayed. Here you can post to, comment on and follow the Chatter feed of the related record.

Your administrator must enable Chatter feed tracking on your source objects for this functionality to be available:

  1. From Setup, navigate to Feature Settings | Chatter | Feed Tracking.
  2. Select your primary object. In the case of PSA this will be Project, but in your organization this may be different.
  3. Select Enable Feed Tracking and any specific fields that you want to track. You must have the required user permissions to see this checkbox.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Repeat for any other source objects.
