Mapping Avalara Tax Codes to SCM Product Groups

You can map Avalara tax codes to items of a specific type that belong to a specific product group. The tax codes are used on line-level records to ensure that tax is calculated accurately using Avalara AvaTax. You can use Avalara's Tax Code Search utility to find the relevant Avalara tax codes. To create a new mapping:

1. Navigate to the AvaTax Code to Product Group Mappings tab.
2. Click New.
3. Select the product group for which you are defining the mapping. You can create multiple mapping records for the same product group, but the combination of product group and item type must be unique.
4. Select the item type for which you are defining the mapping.
5. Enter an Avalara tax code in at least one of the following fields:
   • Physical Delivery Tax Code - this tax code is also applied for lines that do not have a delivery method specified.
   • Electronic Delivery Tax Code
   • Load and Leave Delivery Tax Code
   • ASP Delivery Tax Code
6. Click Save.
