You can seamlessly create PSA miscellaneous adjustments from Accounting payable credit note expense line items. For example, if a payable credit note contains a line item related to a specific project, you can link the line item to the project. After selecting a transaction category, you can create a miscellaneous adjustment from the payable credit note expense line item. The Amount field on the miscellaneous adjustment is set to the negative total value of the line item, including tax.

Which Payable Credit Note Expense Line Items Are Eligible for Creating Miscellaneous Adjustments?

For a payable credit note expense line item to be passed to PSA, all of the following must be true:

  • It must be linked to a project. Depending on how your org is configured, this might be done using the Project lookup field or a text field, such as Analysis 1. For more information, see Project Source for Line Items (Legacy) and contact your administrator.
  • The Transaction Category field must be populated.
  • The Passed to PSA field must not be selected.

How Can I Create a Miscellaneous Adjustment from a Payable Credit Note Expense Line Item?

You can create a miscellaneous adjustment from a payable credit note expense line item in several ways:

  • Manually, by selecting multiple records on the payable credit note expense line items list view and clicking Create Miscellaneous Adjustments. For more information, see Creating Miscellaneous Adjustments from Multiple Payable Credit Note Expense Line Items.
  • Automatically, by scheduling a ClickLink job for the Payable Credit Note Expense Line Item to PSA Miscellaneous Adjustment ClickLink rule. For more information, contact your administrator.
