Migrating Custom Legacy SRP Mappings to Foundations Mappings

The Migration to Foundations Mappings Feature Console feature enables you to migrate custom field-level mappings from ClickLink and integration rules to Foundations mappings.

This feature has one automatic step to migrate the mappings. For more information, see Enabling the Feature.

Note:

You can skip enabling this feature if you want to use the default mappings.

For more information about the Feature Console, see the following:

Prerequisites and Limitations

To run the migration process, you must be logged in as an administrator and have access to all the objects and fields that are included in the mappings.

The table below lists mappings that are not migrated by the process. This is because the default definitions for these mappings were changed in the latest version of SRP. You can still manually override the mappings if needed. For more information, see Viewing Mappings.

Custom Mappings That Cannot Be Migrated

Source Object

Target Object Target Field
Billing Event Item Sales Credit Note Line Item Line Description
Billing Event Item Sales Invoice Line Item Line Description
Payable Credit Note Expense Line Item Miscellaneous Adjustment Transaction Category
Payable Invoice Expense Line Item Miscellaneous Adjustment Transaction Category

Enabling the Feature

To migrate the mappings using the Feature Console:

  1. Click Perform to run the step. The migration process starts in the background and the Status changes from "Not Done" to "Done".
  2. Navigate to the Process Runs tab.
  3. Open the process run with the description Migrate SRP ClickLink Rules to Foundations Mappings. This process run contains information about the ClickLink rules.
  4. Review the related process logs to ensure that all the mappings have been migrated successfully.
  5. Open the process run with the description Migrate SRP Integration Rules to Foundations Mappings. This process run contains information about the integration rules.
    Note:

If you adopted enhanced mode in Spring 2021, only the Map Analysis fields from Invoice to Credit Note integration rule is migrated. The Create Sales Invoice from Billing Event and Create Sales Credit Note from Billing Event integration rules are ignored when the relevant ClickLink rules exist.

  6. Review the related process logs to ensure that all the mappings have been migrated successfully.
  7. If errors occurred during the process, do the following:
    1. Work through the errors and fix them.
    2. Click Revert to disable the Feature Console step. This changes the Status from "Done" to "Not Done". The process itself is not reverted.
    3. Click Perform to run the step again.
    4. Repeat steps 2-7 as many times as necessary until you have fixed all the errors.
  8. Use the Status slider in the Feature section to mark the feature as enabled.

Next Steps

If you used the Source Object Process Field in ClickLink rules to customize the eligibility criteria of a record, these customizations cannot be migrated to Foundations mappings. In this case, you must manually configure the relevant custom setting fields to apply your additional eligibility criteria. For more information, see Defining Additional Record Eligibility Criteria in Enhanced Mode.
