Creating Alternative Items

You can specify alternative items for an item master and specify that the alternative item can also be substituted for the item master:

1. Click New Alternate Item in the Alternate Items related list of the item master on which you want to specify an alternative item.
2. Enter an alternate item.
3. [Optional]If there is more than one alternate item for the item master enter a number in the Selection Order field to determine the priority of selection for the alternate item.
4. If the item master can also be an alternative item for the alternate item select Two Way from the Interchangeability drop-down list, otherwise select One Way.
5. Select Active from the Status drop-down list.
6. Click Save.
