Creating a Payable Invoice or Credit Note from a Single Vendor Invoice

To create a payable invoice or credit note from a single eligible vendor invoice:

  1. Click the Vendor Invoices tab.
  2. Open the vendor invoice that you want to create a payable invoice or credit note from.
  3. Click Create Payable Invoice or Credit Note. If the vendor invoice is eligible for creating a payable invoice or credit note, a confirmation message displays. If the vendor invoice is not eligible, a list of errors displays. If that happens, do the following:
    1. Click Close.
    2. Fix each error.
    3. Perform this step again.
  4. Click Create. Depending on how your org is set up and the number of vendor invoice items, the payable invoice or credit note might be created immediately or in the background.
  5. [Optional] Open the related record to view more information. Depending on how the process is executed, do one of the following:
    • If the document is created immediately, click the name of the payable invoice or credit note to open it.
    • If the document is created in the background, click View Process Run to open the related process run record.
